1. Choose An Agent To Represent You

Bottom line...When you buy a home, it can be stressful and our job is to remove as much stress as possible. Here at Luxury House Search, we go above and beyond for our clients. We preview homes daily and weekly on your behalf. We actively door knock communities of interest as well as research bank owned and notice of defaults (if available). Also, we will work closely with your lender and our affiliates to ensure a smooth transaction.


2. Get Pre-Approved

It's important to get pre-approved before you start looking for a home. This way, you don't waste time with guessing or looking at properties that are beyond your means and you'll know in advance how much you can afford. Getting pre-approved for a mortgage also enables you to move quickly when you find the perfect place. When you make an offer, it won't be contingent on obtaining financing, which can save you valuable time. In a competitive market, this lets the seller know that your offer is serious – and could prevent you from losing the home to another potential buyer who already has financing arranged.

3. Start Looking

Technology is a great tool in your home search process. Clients generally have an initial idea of what cities and neighborhoods appeal most to them. 4. Making An Offer & Negotiating

As the deal comes together, be ready for lots of paperwork, and even more at closing. Use your agent or lender as a resource – that's why you chose them. If there's something in the contract you don't understand,  ask. You’re completing a major transaction,  and being comfortable with the details is essential – there are no dumb questions.


5. Move Into Your New Home

At closing, you will sign all of the paperwork required to complete the purchase, including your loan documents. It typically takes a couple of days for your loan to be funded after the paperwork is returned to the lender. Once the check is delivered to the seller, you are ready to move into your new home! Get your new keys,  share the good news, select your insurance and make your moving plans. Because now,  you're a new HOMEOWNER!
